Things turned into a successful win-win situation last Thursday, Jan. 12 for both the Edmonton Oilers and the CR Knights!
With the New Jersey Devils and former Oiler Taylor Hall in town, Oilers fans were treated to an exciting 3-2 come-from-behind overtime win!
Throughout the game, 53 enthusiastic volunteers from our association gave their all to try to sell as many 50/50 tickets as possible to fans at Rogers Place. We are pleased to announce that over $140,000 worth of tickets were sold with a grand prize of $70,737.50 going to the winner! As a result, we managed to raise over $16,000 for our association!! Way to go volunteers!!!
Here is an excerpt from an email received by our President Doug Kinsella after the event:
Hi Doug,
Thanks again for your help in coordinating last night's 50/50. You were a great group and I really appreciate the work you put in to solidify all of the volunteers. Below are some details of the night for bragging rights, as well as the total amount earned:

Winning Ticket Seller = Jason Mahe
Group's Earnings = $16,368.75 ($6,000 base + $10,368.75 commission)
